  Had an alternator installed and it went in the first month. Had to get a new one elsewhere. Evidently the alternator I was given was cheap & not built to last. To respond to the comment below: It was not a lifetime warranty, it was a 2 year warranty. The alternator was cheap and my car is not. Would rather have the proper alternator installed than the same one (the alternator I was given was not well-suited for my SUV, i've been told).
